Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how sandraidersofsophie.net uses cookies, local browser storage, and similar technologies. This site is an independent fan-made guide for SAND: Raiders of Sophie and is not an official game site.
What We Use
- Essential browser storage keeps basic site functionality working and saves local tool progress, such as the Beginner Checklist, in your browser on this device.
- Plausible may load immediately as a privacy-conscious baseline for page views, referral sources, and coarse business events.
- Google Analytics currently loads by default during launch measurement for page views and basic business events.
- Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Analytics are optional analytics tools and load only after optional analytics acceptance.
- Similar technologies such as pixels, tags, or scripts may help measure site usage and improve guide pages.
Essential Storage
Some features may use local browser storage so the site works as expected. For example, the Beginner Checklist may save checked items in your browser on this device.
- Checklist data does not require an account.
- Checklist data is not synced to a server.
- Checklist data is not used for payment or billing.
- Checklist data can be cleared by using the Reset checklist button or your browser settings.
- Your analytics choice may be saved in a first-party consent cookie and local browser storage so the site can remember Accept or Reject. This essential preference does not store the optional analytics identifiers.
Analytics Tools
We use the following analytics providers. Plausible and Google Analytics currently run by default during launch measurement. Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Analytics load only after optional analytics acceptance. We do not intentionally collect game account credentials, payment details, private support information, or sensitive personal data through analytics.
| Provider | Purpose | Example Data |
|---|---|---|
| Plausible | Privacy-conscious baseline site analytics that may load immediately | Page views, referral sources, and coarse business events |
| Google Analytics | Launch measurement baseline traffic, referral, page view, and basic event measurement that currently runs by default | Page URL, device/browser data, approximate region, analytics identifiers |
| Microsoft Clarity | Optional usability analytics for clicks, scrolling, and layout interaction patterns after optional analytics acceptance | Clicks, scrolls, page interaction patterns, device/browser data |
| Ahrefs Analytics | Optional search, referral, and content performance analytics after optional analytics acceptance | Page views, referral sources, device/browser data |
Analytics Cookies
Cookie names and lifetimes can change when providers update their services or when browsers cap storage. The Google Analytics cookies below match the current default launch measurement behavior.
| Cookie or Storage | Provider | Purpose | Typical Lifetime |

| sand_analytics_consent_v1 | sandraidersofsophie.net | Remembers whether optional Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Analytics were accepted or rejected | Up to 1 year |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Distinguishes browsers for default launch measurement page views and basic events | Commonly up to 2 years, depending on Google settings and browser limits |

| _clck, _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Optional usability analytics cookies only after optional analytics acceptance | Commonly up to 1 year, depending on Microsoft settings and browser limits |
Consent
Accept Optional Analytics loads Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Analytics. Reject Optional Analytics prevents or removes Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Analytics. Plausible and Google Analytics continue to run during current launch measurement.
Use the Cookie Settings button in the footer to change the optional analytics choice at any time. Consent choices are not sent as analytics events. You can also use browser privacy settings, private browsing, content blockers, or DNT-style browser controls where your browser or extensions enforce them; this site does not currently read DNT as a code switch.
Embedded Media
Community video previews use local images. The privacy-enhanced YouTube player is requested only after you choose to play a video.
After you click play, YouTube or Google may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for playback, security, preferences, and their own measurement under their policies. This playback choice is separate from accepting site analytics.

How To Control Cookies

- Use the Cookie Settings button in the footer.
- Use your browser privacy settings.
- Use private browsing mode.
- Use content blockers or browser-level DNT-style controls where your browser or extensions enforce them.
- Clear cookies and site data for this domain.
